The Beginning of My Journey
I don't think I'm where I'm supposed to be. On Day 1, I start documenting my life, every day and unedited, as I work towards becoming the woman I've always seen when I close my eyes.
This video is for a particular woman. Maybe you’re in your late twenties, your thirties or your forties. People look at you and think you’re doing fine. But deep down, you’ve always felt there is something bigger in you that the world needs, and you’re not living up to it yet.
I am you, and you are me.
Where I am today
I’ve built a space for myself in the cleaning industry in Nigeria, as a cleaner, a cleaning coach and a consultant. From the outside, people say I’m doing very well. But privately, I keep imagining a woman I know I can become, and the distance between her and me sometimes feels overwhelming.
I cried while recording this. Not because I’ve given up, but because I realised how much I’ve been carrying.
Who I see when I close my eyes
When I imagine the highest version of myself, I see a woman speaking on stage to thousands of people. Nothing has ever felt more like success to me than public speaking. Nothing comes close.
As a stay-at-home mum taking care of children, nobody was listening. Today, with what I’ve built, I feel it is time. I celebrated my birthday a few days ago, and the feeling that I can’t keep postponing this has refused to leave me.
My speaking will focus on what I already teach cleaning business owners: marketing, sales, psychology and business growth. But I know I’m bigger than one industry.
What this documentary is
Starting today, 1 November 2026, I’m documenting my life every day as I work towards becoming that woman: the decisions, the uncomfortable conversations, the failures, the lessons, the little victories and the impostor syndrome. No over-editing. Just me, speaking to my camera whenever I have something to say.
It will run for months. I’m currently in Ilorin, Kwara State, and if that changes, you’ll see it happen.
Who it’s for
It’s for every woman who feels she can’t amount to anything. I grew up fending for myself from a very young age, and as an adult I have raised four children on my own. If I can do this, so can you.
And it’s for my children, so that one day they can look back and see that their mother didn’t just talk about her dreams. She worked towards them.
If you’re a woman like me, come on this journey with me. I’ll need your thoughts, your good words and your encouragement.
This is Day One. Welcome to Becoming Kaffy.
What today taught me
- You can be doing well on the outside and still know you were made for more. Both can be true.
- Waiting to arrive before you share the journey means nobody ever sees how it was done.
- Saying your dream out loud, on camera, turns it from a wish into a promise.
